VISIBILITY

.
Main Page

Throughout your acting career, it is important to keep yourself visible.  If you don't have a regular acting job, you should make it a point to participate in showcases and plays not only to continue to be seen, but also to continue improving your craft.

Showcases are excellent ways to be seen by agents and casting directors, as well as producers and directors.  At a showcase, you will perform either a monologue or a scene with a partner.  Do your research, you can find showcases that are free, but some will charge a registration fee to cover expenses in organizing the event.

Landing a role in a stage production is another way of keeping yourself visible.  Many industry professionals attend plays to support the production, but also to scout for new talent.

Showcases and plays are two of the ways you can continue to improving your craft while also keeping yourself in front of influential industry professionals.  Be sure to do a mailing beforehand to encourage your contacts to come see your performance.
